About Us

First: Overview about the Unit of Admission and Registration
The Unit of Admission and Registration was established by the first semester of the academic year 1995/1996 due to its great importance and its vital role in students' registration issues starting from their admission till graduation, and it is strongly related to the university management, colleges, and academic departments. 
Since that time, the unit of registration and admission has made significant progress steps  to catch up  with the latest developments  as to improve the process of admission at the university , and to modify its rules and regulations in accordance with the recent updates in information systems.

Third: unit's functions and tasks
The unit of admission and registration is considered one of the main managerial units at the university because of its direct contact with the students, providing various services and consultations for them. The most important tasks of the unit include the following:

-    Making the needed preparations for the new students and complete their registration procedures
-    Implementing all of the needed steps for the process of  registration,  including withdrawal, adding courses , preparing the classes schedule and announcing it. 
-    Preparing the lists of the expected graduate students and inform the related departments. 
-    Prepare the lists of the students whose names included in the honor lists of the college and the university
-    Announcing the date of applying for changing majors, transferring to the university, and implementing systems and regulations to complete transferring procedures. 
-    making the needed documents, transcripts in both Arabic and English language.
-    Auditing the credit hours for the faculty staff.
-    Providing the institution of scholarships with the results of the students at the end of each semester.
-    Tracking students cases, such as withdrawal, deferral, termination, and documenting it on the student portal electronically.
-    Preparing the schedule of final exams in each semester and solving any problems  in coordination with faculties. 
-    Preparing the students' information and records  and  informing the related departments with them. 
-    Documenting the accredited results from the dean and formalizing them systematically on the student’s portal
-    studying the students' matters in the cases which need to be discussed with the committee of students' academic issues
-     Auditing the files of the expected graduate students and checking out the completion of the conditions of their graduation
-    Tracking and auditing the new courses plans and study and modifying them according to the terms and regulations.
-    Announcing officially the admission results in higher studies programs in newspapers and the internet.
-    Participating in arranging and organizing the graduation party
-    Implementing rules and regulations to grant bachelor's degree, diploma and master certificates
-    Preparing the academic calendar plan
-    Coordinating with the military service office for approving students' deferrals.
